first ideas

I'm thinking about organizing a pony meet here in Edmonton. Maybe sometime in July??? I would like to find out first though how many people are out there in our area that would be interested, so i'm doing a bit of digging around the Arena and the Trading Post to find people. I know a few collectors right in the city and I am constantly seeing people from Alberta on forums and stuff, so I am in process of trying to track people down to find out if they are interested. From what i have gathered, a pony meet is a meeting of various collectors who bring their collections to show off, as well as ones that they would like to trade/sell. other activities besides selling/trading/hanging out include eating/making food, games (not sure what kind of games...it sounds very cheesy bridesmaid type games, but we could get creative and make something on our own) and contests (custom pony contests, decorating pony contests, ect...) and then the rest is just hanging out talking about our collections, maybe going for a walk, that sort of thing. So it seems like a mini housebound toy show with a bit more of a personal touch. we'll see how it goes. still in the planning stages though.

About Me

My photo
i live the simple life so to speak, but a bit of an eccentric one. i have an extensive vintage my little pony collection and shelves of only the geekiest lunch boxes around. nerd? perhaps. really i love to collect anything vintage and i enjoy being a big kid entirely too much. i love to sew and make cute things. i am vegetarian; i love to cook and bake. i try and be conscious of the decisions i make in this life. i recycle. i reuse. i compost. i try to live as plastic free as possible. hippy? no. hippies never looked this good in a 50's dress and high heels.
